Don't worry Dec. 21, 2012 is over. Hopefully we are done with that theme like we are done with the Twilight franchise.

As long as it's original, then i don't care.

Much rather have new movies than re-makes these days.

There are only so many themes to work with. I never liked them. I never get tired of crime dramas for some reason.

I'm more tired of these apocalyptic predictions that don't come true. Come on people, if you are going to predict the end of the world do your friggin homework.

I hope they get replaced with more vampire and dragon movies. Honestly though, post-apocalyptic movies are probably easy to make since the writers don't have to write in many characters, therefore actors don't have to be paid to play them and a movie set in desolation is cheap. Compare that to a movie that requires a ton of speaking parts and extras, exploding cars, CGI, lots of locations, space ships.

I don't know which movies you're specifically talking about but I could empty my couch cushions to fund Mad Max so it's all profit even if it sucks.

I love post-apocalyptic movies. I even loved Terminator Salvation. I couldn't believe all the hate it got.

I'm not against the genre itself. I like Resident Evil and the old school stuff like Mad Max and Terminator but when you rehash the same crap over and over it becomes sickening. Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, anyone?

Yeh I'm a sucker for em too.

Found this little gem. Its not a big-budget, but its at least interesting and engaging. Hard to find good ones.
