Is Anderson Silva just a stand and bang fighter?

When I think stand and bang, I envision Diego Sanchez running into punches while trying to land his own. Or that recent exchange between John Lineker and Francisco Rivera.

Obviously Anderson does not resemble any of these fights or fighters. He has submission wins. But you could probably count on one finger the number of times he goes for any type of takedown, never mind actually landing one. Hell, I remember Chuck landing a takedown in his late career (forget against who). But I don't remember Anderson ever attempting one.

His head movement is incredible. Historically he rarely got hit. Many (T)KO wins. Anderson has to be the greatest stand and bang fighter of all time.
