Yeah, I don't know why any women would want to live anywhere in the shit hole known as the Middle East.

They aren't even 2nd class citizens. Maybe 3rd or 4th tier.

Iran shouldn't be allowed to compete in the Olympics or international competitions anyway.

They regularly refuse to compete against Israelis and it's the same "controversy" over and over again. I don't believe it would be tolerated for a second if the situation was reverse.

They banned the Taliban-led Afghanistan from the Olympics in 2000 but countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran are allowed to compete. Or ban Russia for doping when the entire 2008 Olympics were in large part of farce due to cheating, corruption and doping to get all those medals for China.

Ehh, men get to own women basically, kind of like a Trump supporter saying, but the economy......

See the key is to convince people that they are doing better than their lessors, then they have something to lose.

    The politics of fear baby.

Within the past couple of years, UAE (judo) and Lebanon (wrestling) did the same.

A slave doing kitchen/child-bearing duties is objectively better off than a slave doing physical labor/military duties.

In much of the Middle East, men die like flies.

Unfortunately it would be more effective to ban Israel. Or make them compete without their flag like it usually happens in the Muslim world.

Or we still are being pushed in to a war by the media. We knew Iran had serious problems, that doesn't justify an assassination or a war.

People wanting to make their own choices is an almost universal truth, as is being a rung up on someone is preferable to being stepped on.

Men the world over drop dead at a quicker rate than women. Is normal.

The media is always pushing people towards some sort of conflict. As long as people keep that in mind, they can read stories like this, while reminding themselves that such experiences are probably not limited to Iranian women only.

I'm sure many Saudi women feel the same way.

I don't see an outright war being in anyone's best interests, for now. This was proven not only by the reactions of America and Iran, but Israel and Saudi Arabia.
