Social Iranian father cuts his 14 year old daughter's head off in so-called honor killing

Yeah I am sure that's what oppressed Iranian girls are praying for, to live in fear of death from above and to be ruled over by a puppet government. G-d damn some Americans really are too dense to ever learn from past mistakes.

Im just saying morally Aytollah is bad and he should be removed. But I dont actually believe that is a reason to invade or war.
This isn’t worth military intervention in Iran.

If course it is not. I just was feeling edgy and it would be nice if someone removed the Ayatollah. But the US would just likely make it worse and it cost a ton

And tons of innocent people would be dead. American troops needlessly killed. Destabilize area even more so.

This has to be a rare case; one does not usually hear about 'honor' killing in Iran. It is something one expects from Pakistan.

Yes because you don't hear about it, it doesn't happen.

"Iranian media occasionally report on cases related to honor killings carried out by relatives, usually male family members, when the actions of women and girls are perceived as violating conservative traditions on love, marriage, and public behavior. It is not known how many women and girls die from such killings."

"In 2014, a Tehran police official reported that 20 percent of all murders in the country were “honor” killings."

This stuff I feel is a legit reason for military intervention. This is evil and it will spread. The source cancer must be removed. The Ayatollah

How many civilians do you think died from the Iraq military intervention? How about Vietnam?

It's too bad Drumpf had Soleimani killed. He was the last true moderate voice of power in Iran. He could have prevented this. Therefore, by implication, Trump beheaded this girl.

i remember many years ago seeing a potato cam beheading of a woman taking place in iran.

A 14 yr old girl in Iran runs away with a 34 year old man. Eventually she's found and brought back home where the father ends up cutting her head off with a farming sickle as she slept. The father can only get 10 years in prison if convicted. Yeah we're all the same and we want the same things.

Said that once will say it again.
What, whoever do to themselves is NOT your problem.
What they try to do with you and your people IS a problem.

Hum, well ok I guess I was wrong on how uncommon it is.

I still think Iran has much less honor killings than Pakistan

When I type into google "how common are honor killing in ... " Google's first suggestion is Pakistan.

Pakistan has the highest number of documented and estimated honour killings per capita of any country in the world; about one-fifth of the world's honour killings are performed in Pakistan (1000 out of the 5000 per year total).

you do realize this happens in all Muslim countries in that region?

At least Iranians are not exporting their Islamic terrorism all over the world like some golf “allies”

Also the guy went to jail...

it’s not like the authorities were like

“you killed her, however she dishonoured you, so you’re free to go”

Read the article, it seems both society and the government are condemning the murder.

Much better than what happens with US "allies" like Saudi Arabia.

What is the purpose of this thread? Honor killings have been known about by the West since time immemorial. Hell, look at the Hindu practice of Sati. Those peaceful contemplatives burn roughly 2500 girls alive ever year, often due to dowries being too low, the women not being chaste enough, etc etc.

Live your life by faith, which requires no justification, and you just might be led to actions without justifications, seeing as beliefs are the primary drivers of actions.
