Invicta FC Signs Deal With UFC Fight Pass

As i said, i can't complain (better than failed) but i can't be happy. I really dislike Zuffa's idea of MMA and i would have like to see Invicta as an alternative and not a sub-product.

Some elements of Zuffa philosophy about the sport and UFC as a product aren't my ideal of MMA, and I would prefer to pay an iPPV directly to Invicta/UStream like previously, but is OK to c IFC alive and that's the most important thing.

I think the biggest thing here is that this deal might be great for the sport as a whole in the future. Invicta found an alternative way to survive as an MMA organization, unlike many who have tried, above a regional unaired level.

Never before have we seen an organization able to ascend above basic regional show (KOTC, etc) without dying like Shark Fights or the like. Could be vastly important.

Many things. As i said i really don't like the angles they choose to promote fights and fighters, i don't like the constant lies, the over-hyping, the constant disregard of the history of the sport (even their own history!!) in order to make the present looks better, their relationship with the press, the disrespect towards the fighters, the whole character of Dana White, the macho vibe they want to give with their presentation etc. etc.

Every single aspect was different in Invicta.

No need to be a dick about it.

Don't forget about their 'respectful promotion' of Rampage, where they initially promoted him as a homeless black guy they basically pulled out of a bumfights video. Or how about K-1 Heroes 'respectful promotion' of Bob Sapp, where they asked him to go to the zoo and eat bananas while hanging out with the gorillas. Or how Japanese organizations in general treat fighters from other Asian countries (particularly Koreans). Or how they treat many of their female fighters like softcore fetish porn models.

Dana White may be a blowhard, but at least he's not a racist/nationalist/sexist.
