News International Fight week

Solid 7.5/10 but lol at 2 more title shots for guys on 1-fight "winning streaks". At least Charles has put it mad work, KKF getting the shot over Gooch over Royval is insane. Truly Pantoja vs Merab should've happened but whatever.

I remember when International Fight Week meant something...

Brock vs Mir
GSP
Hendo vs Bisping

It’s hard for any card to mean something nowadays, whenever a great card occurs us MMA fans all we do is shit on the card, the winners, the losers, we do nothing to elevate the fighters popularity or star, in fact we do the complete opposite diminish everything they do and will do which in turn creates another event that won’t mean nothing because we already set the stage of the fighters being nothing.

It really is. If it was a normal PPV, no problem.

This International Fight Week. It supposed to be the best. Not dudes with barely any win streaks to challenge for the belt.
Every ppv this year has felt bare minimum aside from the initial 311 card before we lost Arman & Dariush

kind of underwhelming for an IFW card because if I were to pick this one and 319, I would go with the latter. And that’s without knowing the rest of 319.

- Horiguchi has zero case for a title shot. Win over Kape in another promotion is irrelevant. He's old & the UFC is better off using his name value to boost up younger talent. He doesn't have much of a future at the elite levels of the decision. They don't need to fast track any signings with any bit of name value to the very top. If he's still as good as people think then he can get to a title shot with 2 wins.

I feel like NFL fans are worst. Someone who grew up with the "Charge's life". Especially, against the Raiders it was a shit show either at their house or stadium. The vile shit they would say.

Ironically, it pushed me away. Until, I became an Eagles and Ravens fan for these past 21yrs.

A LW vacant title fight, and a FLW title fight.

That’s not exciting enough to write home about. Once upon a time IFW had three different cards. In real time pretty much everybody seemed to like that format.

A FN card. A TUF Finale card. And the ppv card.

The last time they did something similar is when Borz made his debut. Iirc, there were three cards in 10 days, on “Fight Island”. There were no spectators.. Covid.

This is underwhelming, imo. There should have been an undisputed HW Title fight headlining this card. But Jones is a coward.

I never need to see Costa again. He only fights once a year anyway. But he’ll probably be on the main card. He’s 1-4 since September 2020. And he’s currently on a two fight skid. And a year since his last fight.

There are more fights to be added. 4, or 5 I imagine. I hope there are at least a couple more main card fights. Because I only see 3 fights listed that are IFW main card worthy to me.

Well.. Let’s hope the fights deliver. Because this is not a “special” card on paper. And imo, IFW should be special.

Sure, could be true. NFL fans are pretty bad but it’s all team based. In MMA, no fighter ever truly wins according to fans.

I use to thibk it was a shit show that Demetrius Johnson left the UFC, in hindsight it was the best decision, he went to a org and region that respect their fighters, he made money and left the sport with a legacy. I could only imagine how the these so called UFC fans and even some hardcore fans would treat him nowadays, given the way they already do this to current crop fighters, he’d be crucified and you can’t tell me otherwise with the how these fans are.

yeah its a last second pieced together kind of card and not getting Islam/Topuria takes it down cause thats a super fight.

Still some good fights and 5 more fights to be added.

imo it needs one more big main card fight imo.

two title fights, Kape/Royval and Renato/Dariush are all main card worthy fights.

Needs one more big fight in that 3rd slot.
