Interesting video I found on r/UFC.

Damn, I take back all that shut I was talking.

Definitely not a fluke

Don’t worry man we’ve all talked shit about that kinda stuff. It’s very rare we get insight into what actually goes on in the gym. Luckily this footage exists.

I hope the mods there have him arrested and executed

I am sadly still around.

But you can ask the mods to move it.

I swear I have seen both Pettis bros throw that after high kicks before.
Great KO I wish I had seen the fight. I even missed the end sequence.
Watching the highlight is enough. Goochi was dominating but it wasn't that great of a fight.

Having a spinning back fist after a roundhouse kick ( especially a missed one ) is a kinda common move to get back in position/front of your opponent fast.
You are only using the torque of your roundhouse to continue the movement by a spinning back fist ...
Has someone here actually practiced striking ( seriously ) ?

That doesn't mean it landing isn't kinda "flukish", not in the sens that he didn't threw with intention, but more in the sense that if he threw it 100 times it would maybe land 5 times at best.

And he isn't "practicing it" in my book by throwing it once in a sparring (because he felt it), this is a totally different set up than drilling that specific combo on the mitts.
Practice = repetition, and like I said this isn't an uncommon move to try especially in sparring.
