Interesting Pullups with Pulver

great find. is this a part of a larger video? if so I want to see it. I will try this workout this weekend.
 
Seems like an easy way to slip off the bar and fall on your head. Why not just do normal softball pullups?

Anyways, I fully support Jens. I'm a fan of his, and I hope he beats Faber.

Back on topic.. I dont see how a tight grip = a harder punch, can someone fill me in on why this is so?

Being able to clench your fist tighter does a couple of things. One, is that it keeps the bones from sprading apart and helps prevent your hand from breaking.
Two, and the answer to your question is that a tighter fist will transfer the force of a strike better. Same thing with trengthening the wrist to help transfer force. The stroger and tighter the fist and wrist are at impact, the more force gets transfered with the strike.
