I don't think people are upset by Rousey's success. I think they're upset by the fanboyism surrounding her and what they feel is over the top hyperbole regarding her skills and accomplishments.

I guess it's like a bunch of Justin Beiber fans claiming he's the best singer ever, even better than Whitney Houston because he out sold her and he won the teen choice award and she never did...That's just an example, but you could see why fans like that and statements like that could generate a backlash.
