Insidious 5 sucked

They all sucked if we're being honest.
I could understand that
but I like to think about them as the pg13 version of the conjuring verse

they pack a good dose of supernatural thriller with rehashed tropes that can full that need for some decent haunted house/ ghost stuff... plus I dig the idea of "the further" it's like a knock off Stephen king idea

they certainly aren't high cinema but if you evaluate it compared to the other films of it's sub genre it's gotta be 6-7.5 for most of the films (still haven't seen the most recent tho)

I'll be honest, I can remmeber the 1st and unsure if I watched beyond that. Found the 'monster' to be too cartoony from what I remember.

Gotta hand it to Blumhouse, they made a franchise out of this off of one memorable scare.

Yeah, I’ve seen it on numerous “scariest movie moments” lists. Genuinely a good scene though.

I didn’t mind the first one but like with most Blumhouse stuff I check out for the sequels.

As it usually works, the more they showed him, the worse it got. That scene is truly terrifying. Also, the scene where the psychic sees the monster and describes him to the sketch artist. Just that little drawing painted a horrifying picture. Then when you really got a good look at him in the shadow realm or wherever the hell they go in the end, he looks like some sort of Edward Scisscorhands/Darth Maul hybrid and it sucks.

Bingo. It was quite scary with the description and when in the dream it was a shadow that just pointed at the boy. I literally laughed when they showed him at the end. Killed the movie for me

I for one am shocked!

Shocked, I tell you!!

Which is 5?

I watched 'The Devil Made Me Do It' just yesterday, and I dunno, they're kinda watchable without being immersible.

Not so bad to have in the background as they're not scary, but they have a reasonable pace to them.

I probably wouldn't like them if I sat in a cinema and had to give them my full attention lol

There were more tense moments in that film than that scene. For example, the scene where he crossed to the other side and was scoping out all those creepy people in his house. That was tense.

That tiptoe by the whatever song is creepy as hell.

In the first one when she walks by the little boy hiding and he’s barely noticeable, then she sees him dancing from outside of the house is another creepy scene. I thought the first one was pretty good overall.
