Infinity Ward gearing up for open-world RPG

Celebrated studio Infinity Ward looking to develop an open-world game; not a far stretch to assume an RPG whose combat is shooter-focused. Not much info to offer up right now for the crew but I'll keep this thread up-to-date as we learn more over time.

Infinity Ward, the creator of the Call of Duty franchise and the team responsible for the hugely successful Modern Warfare games, is staffing up for an open-world RPG, according to a series of job listings.

Some of the responsibilities including teaming with the Game Director and leadership to set “the overall vision and direction for an unannounced AAA project,” as well as crating a narrative and cinematic experience “in a open world RPG.”

As much as I love RPG's I feel like IW will be focused on total sales rather than making a really solid RPG. I feel like the final product will appeal to many but satisfy few.

I think if they do something like Destiny 2\Division they could have a hit on their hands. Set in the COD world of course.
