Infinite rounds?

Would it be great if there's infinite round till one fighter lose by tap, sub, or TKO or KO?

Would it be great if Jones and DC can get more rounds? Round 6? Round 7? Round 8? Round 9?
Would DC be able to survive Jones attacks when he gas worse?

It would be awful for multiple reasons.

Main events would have to either become the first fight of the night or risk running out of time on the PPV.

If they become the first fight, then you probably get to see the whole main event, but you still will have the issue of many fights being cancelled because no one is going to sit there for a 12 hour show, especially when the fight they came to see was the first one you showed them.

Fights would become ridiculously boring with both fighters trying to win via gassing out the other person. The best way to win would become to stall until the other guy can't keep standing.

How about instead of infinite rounds, we have three five-minute rounds for normal fights and five five-minute rounds for title fights?

Pride already tried that setup and the result was boring. One of their early cards had endless 10 minute rounds until a finish occured. I remember Renzo guillotining a Japanese guy who had controlled him on the ground for over 6 rounds(an hour).
