He puked a lot before the fight, his cardio was killed by that. Has he explained in the post-presser what the reason was? Because he fought in Brazil? In hostile territory. Because of the weightcut? Or does it have something to do with the Matt Mittrione thing? Think he had a panic attack or something back then? He blacked out. He was anxious? I think with all the shit he had to go through he's a true warrior still stepping in the cage. Always fear for the guy though.

Hoping this isn't a reoccurance thing for him, before every fight. Everything considered I'm happy he won in hostile territory, in Brazil. Also happy Big Nog can look back on a decent fight. All the best to Struve and Big Nog.

Dutch excuses. I think Struve might have some anxiety issues. The Mitrione fight which was called off because of his heart rate, now puking.

didnt he say at the presser it was just nerves? not sure but I think that was what he said caused his sore stomach which led to him throwing up a few times

Nerves is anxiety, which in his case isn't good because he had to get out of the fight with Matt Mittrione. Sighs. Expected more from the guy. Hope he is well. Something in me always hopes he will get a lot better. HAHAHA. Watching his fights as a fan is killer. :(

Wasn't it a full blown panic attack the fight before the last one?
He's getting a bit better dealing with it.

I think it was also one of his first fights cutting a bit of weight, that maybe had an effect on him. maybe he over-stuffed himself after weigh-ins and he just attributed it to stress/anxiety?

who knows, thought he looked pretty good considering

Don't know. He needed a step-up fight though. He think he did well and was competitive versus Mark Hunt till he gassed in the third round. Hunt can be hit when gassed, Struve can't, lol. Overeem fight was a t errible comeback fight for him.

It was the first time he had to cut weight, so hope this is a lesson.

Yeah, I didn't see the improvement Henry was talking about pre-fight. He said Struve would be better at keeping people at distance. Big Nog came through a few times, actually with way more ease than a Miocic did.

That being said, he won the fight. Hope it's a confidence booster and that he can keep his nerves in track in the future.

I dont htink it had anything to do with his heart. Maybe he just had an upset stomach and coupled with the weight cut, it must've been rough.

He credited the Mitrione situation to medication that majorly affected his personality when he was on it, which he said he got straightened out after.

He might actually end up being the first fatality in the UFC.

Being that tall and having all the anxiety issues etc he has... not a very good combination.

Guy before you said that was part of the medication he took. He's better now. Or sort of. Don't know. Don't like people saying shit like that. UFC takes care of its fighters and they would most def. not let him fight if they figured that was likely to happen.
