In retrospect how would've Izzy vs Jones went

like 3 years ago there was a period when Israel Adesanya was calling out Jon Jones and we were all stoked about that super fight, then Izzy said he wanna defend his belt and Jon retired for 3 years so this never happened

Now if this fight happens in open weight, how would it go down?
 
Think it could and should happen at some point soon...

If im Izzy's manager id be whispering a permanent HW move to end the career off at some point in the next few years..


Obviously mission one is stopping Alex and having him,(Alex) run to LHW to avenge Glover...

At LHW.. Hard to say considering his last 3 fights there. But Izzy would have had to bulk up at least a little.

Jan had better striking, better wrestling, and weighed more.

He does have better grappling. But i feel the size difference would be too much. If it was at LHW, Izzy is really unproven and struggled with Jan. It would be Jones best weight. The weight he was when he dismantled Shogun, Rampage, DC etc.

Jones won't make MW, and if its HW the size would be too much
 
Even though I think Reyes beat Jones clear as day, I think it's obvious Izzy would get straight up molested by Jones.

The Jan fight means nothing though..

As Izzy didn't even bulk...he over confidently thought he could just not cut weight and win lol ...and he was doing alright till the wrestling hit ..

This would be HW bulk 1.5 years off Izzy type thing
 
Has there been anything said between the two lately? At one point it seemed daily someone would say something but I haven't heard anything in quite a while.Of course I've been out of the loop the last several months. (casual confirmed)
 
It would have been wonderboy vs a grappler. Not dominating but a clear w... I don't know after writing that tbh.. jj might just eat through him. That's why he's weight classes
 
Hard to say. I’m a big Izzy fan and an even bigger Jones hater, but I have a hard time picturing Izzy just out-pointing Jones. I do feel that Izzy is definitely much stronger than Jones in the mental department, so maybe he could’ve found a path to success.
