Of all people close to you, whose death would you find the most disturbing?

-last thread

Answers?

Thought you were talking about the Meshuggah track

On topic - Anyone from my family pretty much or my best friends

I've experienced the death of a brother. The only thing worse, I think would be the death of s child, of which I have none, or the death of my other brother.

My mom for sure. Really anyone I work with

Forgive me for such a grim last thread. Something to think about is my admissionm(spelling) if...IF a close one died, how would i t affect you?

If death results in what it was like before we were born, then I have to say those close to me who believe in the afterlife. I personally don't much care if we face nothingness, but it's troubling to me to see people I care about thinking they are going to be reunited with family and friends after death.

It sounds cool in theory but I think it's not very probable.

All that shit aside, I think my wife's death would hit me the hardest.

My little brother who is 9 (my only brother) has been in and out of hospital a fare few times due to being born with a cleft pallet and undergoing all the operations to correct it over the years. I am a wreck when he is in hospital, kills me so much to see the little dude in pain I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a brother.

Technically he is my half brother because my dad remarried but I don't see it like that , even though there is a big age gap between us (18 years) I am really close to the little man

Sorry for your loss Tomax

This thread is a downer except for the exemplary knowledge of Meshuggah song titles.

I don't want to talk about loved ones dying but I wouldn't mind if the thread derailed into more Meshuggah talk

This is sort of tangential to the thread topic, but why would this be troubling to you at all?

On a more positive note - Nice to find some more Meshuggah fans on Sherdog \m/

i've thought of death many times before, my grand parents, my parents, my wife, even my son, even my friends

however i have never thought about death when it comes to my sisters, i can't imagine what it is like to lose a sibling

I've been through it, don't worry its not that bad once he goes through a couple operations he will get used to it.

False hope isn't fun to watch.

Especially when it comes to loved ones.

We're talking about death here though, not dying.

That said, if someone wants to believe in an afterlife as they're passing along, it's really no concern of mine. If we "return to how we were before birth" then it's not like there's going to be a consciousness around to be disappointed anyways -- unless you're implying an afterlife that doesn't include friends and family, which I'm fairly certain you aren't.

Your concern with "false hope" here seems entirely selfish and presumptuous.

why even bring this topic/question up? seriously
