In a few years, this summer will be remembered as a debacle where the wheels came of the McG train

He either misses out on a huge card or if he is miraculously reinstated gets wrecked in the rematch. But either way you can see him unraveling.

I liked his gameness to fight and cerebral approach at first, he is funny and has charisma. He lost a fight, it happens, and some weaknesses in his game were exposed - OK. That's not his fault or not stuff that can't be addressed. But every fight he has from here on, his mental edge is gone and people have seen the blueprint for beating him.

I thought he handled everything well until this week, and then since his tweet/backpedaling it seems like he's completely unravelling. I can't see how his career can ever completely bounce back from this totally. he is obviously not this revolutionary game-changing martial artist he was touted as. His ceiling has been considerably lowered. Part of me hopes I'm wrong but I think he's kinda getting exposed as a dish-it-out-but-can't-take-it type when it comes to the trash talk. He's not the MMA version of Ali as some have said. I mean it's when things go wrong and how you handle it that shows what people are made of right?

Many here called this. I give those posters major props for seeing through him from the beginning...To me Conor showed that he's not a true warrior, like he has claimed...There's more coward is in his blood than anything else.

What are you talking about? It's evident RIGHT NOW that he went off the fucking rails.

In a few years...

He'll have his bills late. His honey strayed. And his tired name played.

He's come a long way from "Not here to take part, here to take over" talk. Talking retirement before 30? Not wanting to do press all of a sudden when he relished it just a few months ago? Sounds like he barely wants to take part anymore let alone take over.

Come monday/tuesday he will be back on UFC 200.

They just needed excuses to justify him not being at the press conference today without it seeming like they were giving him special treatment.

I'm just saying in a few years when we all look back it'll be undeniable. You still have some nuthuggers clinging desperately to his sack on here.

If he does he's gonna get wrecked. Even is he does fight, where is his head at? You know Nate will definitely come to fight. Those two are just cut from different cloths.

tldr

In a few years nobody will remember this.

Now that he is facing high level competition - he is going to be continued to be exposed. He probably won't even be on the roster in a few years.

Wow. He's not at the presser and the promotion doesn't want to treat him like he's special. Yet they are going to reinstate him on 200.

On what planet does that make any sense ? Reinstating him after pulling him would be the biggest statement the promotion could make that he is in fact special.

Your logic is out there, man.

Wheels came off after he tapped. I've never seen him looking so lost before.

I'd say that was the trigger event that loosened the spokes. he handled the loss well at first, said all the right things and held off any excuses for a bit, but I think it finally got to him, realizing that he would actually have to face Nate after that for a round of press and then eventually in the cage again.

Conor is such a brat. Can't you just picture him as an 8 year old, a rambunctious, hyper manic ball of energy who just can't fucking behave themselves.

one thing is for sure. it will be remembered by me like that party boat gif.
