Bones
Fedor
Anderson
Gsp
Aldo- If aldo avenges his conor loss and retains title again I have to put him above gsp.

Will become one day for me
As of Now My top 5
GSP
BONES
SILVA
FEDOR
Mighty Mouse

Bones
GSP
Fedor
Anderson
Those 4 are a clear cut Top 4
Aldo? Could be argued as #5 but then against so could Cruz, MM, Ronda, etc

See for me, I have to disagree about Bones being P4P. I think if prime Bones was prime Anderson's height and weight he'd get tooled. Jones is a freak of nature, and athletic specimen, like his whole family. Whereas with Anderson you get the feeling he isn't particularly strong or athletic, his skills and technique and mental strength are just THAT good. So for me it goes...

Anderson
Fedor
Bones
GSP
BJ Penn

Bones pulled out against Sonnen, lost to a deaf guy, a lamppost and a pregnant woman.

He's no GOAT.

Genghis Khan is GOAT.

I thought you said Conor was the goat.

I honestly would rather have hendo at 5 instead of Aldo, but the guy spent a decade without an L and defended a title numerous times. Its hard to argue with that resume. Something inside me though kinda gives more credit to a guy who tried and sometimes failed to fight at multiple weights and actually always fighting the toughest guys on the planet. When hendo fought Paul Harris NOBODY wanted to face that guy, hendo fought Fedor Nog Anderson Pride WAnd....the list goes on.

Conor is got his ass whooped by #12 ranked LW Nate Diaz. He has bigger balls than Jones but he's no GOAT. To be GOAT you not only have to take on challenges, you also have to win them. Conor lost. Jones pulled out. Neither are GOAT. Genghis Khan = GOAT. Second only to sea tornado but that's not a human opponent.

*Conor
*Hendo
*Lombard
*Nate
*Fedro

Prove I am wrong. You can't.

im very supriosed to see gsp ranked ABOVE fedor and anderson on an all time list. He didnt exactly fight a murderers row either. He has some huge wins, but arent finishes and style of fight considered here too? I mean Fedor kick boxed with prime Mirko when he could have played it safe and went for the take down in clinch instead he went toe to toe with him in the first round and showed that he was fearless. gsp chose to kick box with jake shields. idk I just cant possibly rank gsp over fedor and anderson for that reason alone.

This is as good a list as you could want for the post 2004/5 era. Aldo becomes a clearer choice after regaining the title.

When GSP stepped away he was ranked in the top 10 all time for knockdowns landed and submission attempts, while simultaneously having the most strikes, significant strikes, takedowns and guard passes

GSP stepped away with the most wins in UFC history, the most wins in UFC title fights, a better win % than both Andy & Fedor, almost as many top 5 wins as both of them combined
and avenged all losses

Strength of schedule
:

Ø Georges had 14 UFC title bouts (2nd place). More than both Andy and Fedor. 59% of the fights in his entire professional career have been for a title (16 title fights out of 27 total fights). Better than both Fedor and Andy

Ø GSP has 17 wins against opponents that were ranked in the top 5 at the time of the fight (1st place). GSP has almost as many wins against opponents that were ranked in the top 5 at the time of the fight as both Anderson and Fedor combined.

Ø Georges has 17 wins against opponents that were ranked in the top 10 at the time of the fight (1st place). GSP fought in the UFC’s WW division that historically had a much deeper talent pool than the UFC’s MW division where Silva fought and Pride’s HW division where Fedor fought.

Ø St-Pierre’s record vs. UFC hall of famers is 4 wins and 1 loss (2-0 vs. BJ Penn, and 2-1 vs. Matt Hughes)

Ø GSP has 6 wins against former UFC champs (Hughes 2x, BJ 2x, Condit, and Serra). Sherk and Johny hadn’t been UFC champions at the time of their fights with Georges.

Ø GSP defeated the Strikeforce WW & MW champs (Diaz & Shields);
he beat three WEC WW champs (Karo, Carlos & Nick);
and the EliteXC, Shooto and Rumble on the Rock champ (Jake Shields)

Ø He defeated 3 BJJ world medalists (BJ 2x, Serra, Shields), 2 NCAA D1 national wrestling champs (Johny, Kos 2x), the best MMA bottom game (Condit, Diaz), the best MMA top game (Hughes 2x, Fitch, Shields), the best judoka (Karo), the best kickboxers (Condit, Alves), and the best boxers (Nick, BJ) at WW

Ø He routed seven fighters that have received votes on the Yahoo writer’s poll for P4P best – including Hughes (2x), Fitch, Baby Jay (2x), Alves, Shields, Condit, and Diaz. No other champ in the history of their P4P poll can say that

Ø GSP finished the phenomenal double digit win streaks of Fitch (16), Shields (15) and Sherk (12)

The only professional mixed martial arts prize fighter to win 12 UFC belts...

Fedor
G.S.P.
Anderson - He and G.S.P. were neck n neck. Have to give the edge to the person who didn't fail a drug test.
Jones - Can still rise in the rankings and most likely will at least pass Anderson.
Aldo - even if he doesn't win his belt back.

Not yet but i think he can be the GOAT if he moves up and wins the HW belt which i think he can. He has yet to face anyone his same size. Can't ignore that.

Fedor is the GOAT. There is no IMO there is no opinion at all. Fedor is the FACTUAL GOAT.

ok lets get back into reality with some of georges wins.

Hughes II was against an over the hill Matt
Penn II is shrouded in controversy and it was out of bjs weight class at that point
Thiago alves is the most overrated fighter in the historuy of mma. His big pecs and leg kicks made people think he was a killer, dude won two fights soince fighting for the title.
Matt serra is an awesome guy but he grandly overachieved in his career.
Dan Hardy is a GREAT dude and a fantastic commentator, with that being said he had no business fighting for a title in any organization.
gsp lost a round of fighting to JAKE SHIELDS on the feet.
gsp LOST the hendricks fight there isnt a debate if you ask any non canadian fan or mma journalist
Koscheck had one eye and gsp couldnt put him away
aside from two rounds in the condit fight there hasnt been a memorable moment in a gsp fight save for serra pounding him.

georges great wins:
condit
Fitch
Nick Diaz
Sherk
