I would say no to an immediate rematch. I'd want to see DC fight someone like Glover or Bader and Jones to fight rumble. Thoughts?

Glover's fighting Rumble in August, and Bader is fighting Latifi in September. Timing matters. It'd be the rubber match at MSG, the ultimate grudge match etc.

If DC wins and Rumble wins its Rumble vs DC 2, not Jones vs Rumble imo, Jones probably fights Glover (win or lose).

PS: I wouldnt discard JBJ vs DC 3.

I'm a fan of Jones, but no.

That horse has been beat to death in the past few years.

edit: Also the fact the Jones technically isn't champion anymore, so it's not like he the undisputed champion losing his title.

Jones does not deserve a rematch Against DC. Why not go out and string up a few wins to prove that you are ready for DC? Also it is not wise for Jones to come back so soon to do a rematch after getting KO'ed. Looked what it did to Mendes. After Mendes got KO'ed by Conor he took the Frankie match too fast and got KO'ed again.

No, everyone knows the real champ.

DC moves up to heavyweight and steals Jones's legacy gameplan. Fights winner of Miocic vs Overeem.

As a Jones hater I'd still say yes. There isn't anyone that stands out above the rest as deserving a shot, and while letting the rubber match build up does add to its appeal, the rubber match would lose a lot of market value if either fighter lost to someone else in the interim. It would be an Anderson Silva - Chris Weidman like rematch, and that rematch sold 50% better than the first fight. I don't see Jones losing to DC twice in a row, if at all, sadly.

Yes, in NYC baby. DC can then destroy Jones again in front of Jones' family.

XD

No doubt it will be an immediate rematch. Jones is one of the champs that deserves it.

Wow but there are a lot of assumptions in these three sentences.

yes, I think so, but DC doesnt win tho.

Fuck immediate rematches.

* if fighters must rematch there should be at least a year and 2-3 fights for the fighters to improve , otherwise repeated outcome is so likely it makes the fight pointless
