As in ultra talented players who are the best in the world at what they do. They can shoot jumpers like nobody else. They are super fast, got the handles, and can run the ball all 48 minutes at a faster pace than the regular nba league. The only difference being that this league only has players under 5'3.

Guess what, nobody would watch that either. People don't not watch the male flyweight division because Mighty Mouse is boring. They don't watch it because nobody cares about these guys that they think they can beatup. Just like nobody would care about a short league nba because you can swat the ball out of em like you do to your little nephews.

It's not fair but its the hard truth. The flyweight division will NEVER gain steam. It simply won't no matter who the champion is. Unless there is a champion that can do quadruple back flips into an axe kick which won't ever happen, the flyweight division will always be piss break time.

It would probably still be more entertaining than the WNBA.

I'd just prefer an all white league. I could've been an all-star

yeah look at boxing. the biggest stars in the past 20 years have been the heavyweights, right?

... right?

What are you talking about? Its pretty hype fam

First NBA players are not fighting. Second NBA has had smaller players Isaiah Thomas, Earl Boykins, Nate Robinson, Spud Webb, Allen Iverson, and Muggsy Bogues and they all did quite well. You also don’t see the smaller guys matching up with monsters like Shaq and Anthony Davis in the post so in a way there is a size standard for Centers and Power Forwards positions

That's simply not true. I understand your point, TS, but that's a personal anecdote and while it might be perfectly accurate for you and your friends it doesn't have any real substance behind it. Combat sports has a solid history of athletes of various sizes becoming successful and popular.

let me break it down for you, step by step.

1. you said the same thing about 135, until there was controversy. admit it.
2. and then there was controversy and competition, and now you don't say the same thing about 135.
3. and if DJ wasn't so good, 125 might have competition, at least. but he is, so there isn't.
4. and he's just not a controversial guy.
5. so you're bored. even though his fighting is highly skillful (even his most ardent detractors admit that), you are bored.
6. but you're not bored because 125 is too small.
7. you're bored because...

...so i'm guessing you see where i'm going with this....

8. you're bored because you like controversy and competition, not great fighting.

which is fine. fact is, fighting wasn't enough to get or keep fans. TUF got fans. controversy got fans. drunken spritzing got fans.

but just don't kid yourself and convince yourself - let alone us - that you're some big fight fan, and you just cannot bring yourself to care about the massive delta between 135 and 125. because you're lying. not just to us, but to yourself.

Imagine if NBA players punched each other in the face every "match".

Imagine that there was a little Irish guy that because MMA's biggest star.

Imagine if boxing's biggest star was a little guy too.

I'm surprised they don't lower the basket a little. It must be hard as f for them making basic shots. It's like shooting sitting down every shot.

DJ's problem is that he's too nice. No one finds him interesting because he doesn't talk trash or get in beefs. The closest thing he's got is with fellow nice guy TJ Dillashaw but that feels really fake because they're both super nice.

Flashy moves won't help. I mean DJ already finished a fight in the dying seconds and another time he finished with a combination suplex/armbar. It doesn't get flashier than that.
