Well, I've been on the Conor hater train since the beginning, but I must say I think he handled the loss perfectly - especially in the post-fight presser.

Don't think he really tried to excuse the loss, just explain it... he went for the big knock-out punches against a guy who has a crazy chin and doesn't back down, which gassed him a bit (also mentally), while Nate put on the pressure and started to land. This is what he meant by being energy efficient.

The worst thing are all the die hard fans (guess they were just newfags) now turning their back on him because he lost...

Conor and Jones (a little bit) are starting to grow on me - don't know how I feel about it :)

I like Conor, but JJ is just a dirtbag.

Conor went for it, Diaz took a few on the chin, and punished Conor when he couldn't take him out. Conor seems to be right that 145s are going out from he's shots, but the heavier guys aren't and specially Diaz who has a tremendous chin.

He sounded humble but he definitely got his share of excuses in there. The jump up in weight, the reach, his "efficiency", you know all the things he has as an advantage at FW.

Me too. I have this weird thing where once a fighter gets humbled a little I start to root for them, even if I couldn't stand them before.

Hes smart enough to cloak his excuses a little, ya.

Basically he couldn't run through Diaz like he can smaller guys - which is fair enough but should have been expected? I had Connor winning but thought he would have been a bit smarter about taking on a brawler in Diaz, he needs to keep his hands up rather than rely on pure movement to avoid strikes.

He also needs to work on his ground game. That said he took the loss well and doesn't seem like a broken man, just somebody who knows he has stuff to work on - his work ethic is great though and I expect him to come back stronger.

he made excuses about energy efficiency. Nate using Conor's face as a speedbag had nothing to do with Conor's energy.

Don't like him at all, but a little bit of hespect now.

Those are facts.

Conor doesn't care about who won the fight, he cares about money. He's probably thinking about how to get another big paycheck.
He could still continue his journey if he beats Edgar. Hope he trains for Edgar now

That's not an excuse, it's an explanation of what he thinks he did wrong.

3, 2, 1....

Conor bless!

Rule No.1 of fighting : nothing humbles a man like a good beating

Rule No.2 : Always bet on the underdog

I actually liked Connor a lot, there are several things we can learn about him but when he start to rub his mouth and spread a lot of nonsense amd dumb shit is quite hard to get behind him.

Mad respect to him tho..

It's called the Bisping effect. The hate for him was always highest when he was on winning streaks, but every time he lost there were more "I'm starting to like Bisping" threads.

The more dirtbag JJ is the more I like him! I hated his fake gig! After he reveals his true colors I'm instantly a big fan!

i figured he'd handle it with class, he always does afterwards at least.

So... you like him more after saying that he lost because he blew his load in R1? If he gave Nate more credit for taking his shots and then taking him out, that would have been humble. But I guess "wasting energy" is good reason to start liking someone.
