A friend of mine and I are making the Pilgrimage tommorow. I think our flight leaves at 5:30pm from Cleveland. We're meeting our instructor at the major airport in Rio sometime on thursday morning. I think we're staying in Copacabana in an apartment that our instructor rented and has been living in for a week by now. We're gonna train at Nova Uniao for about a week and then head off to Sao Paulo to compete on the 23rd i think. I'll post a link to pictures and a review of the experience after we get back on the 25th....man i can't sleep.....

out of curiousity, how much is it to train down at the various schools?

I'd love to go for a month and just train 5-6 days a week during that time span.

  17. If you want to train just Jiu-Jitsu at BTT, it's $130 per month for foreigners. There's an extra fee for Muay Thai lessons though. They have a very good program so you will get the most out of your time there and you can train everyday if you want. If you want private lessons with Sperry, Bustamante, or Bebeo it's $100 per one hour lesson depending on their availability.
