He was getting lit up by "no time* almost got dropped twice and got outstruck until a right cross. Yeah he won however.

Reyes was out striking him too until that spinner out of nowhere.
Hands down by his waist, chiN not tucked, circling into fighters wheelhouses. He takes way too many shots, in nearly every fight he's had, he gets rocked.
I wonder if he's uncoachable and just a "Dom" kind of fighter with non- conventional foot work and awkward angles? I have more to say, but was curious if anyone felt the same?

Most people see that he has glaring weaknesses but he's a fun fighter on ridiculously long KO streak and he has an all action fighting style

I think general consensus is to enjoy this Jiri and his crazy style before the fun runs out and his chin goes.

It's more love than hype

He is fun. But that style is not going to win a strap.
I do enjoy his fights ,but I feel like I'm waiting on the inevitable.

I invite you guys to rewatch the fight, without the fun factor.

Basically this.
It is inevitable he will lose at some point.
But he got the balls to take huge risks for our amusement, and it paid off.
So I have no problem with him getting boosted and getting paid well for my entertainment!

Though I hope Glover beats him!!! :D

I’d agree with you but Glover is champ and the division is as weak as it’s ever been. He just highlight reel KO’ed a top guy and it’s not a reach to think he will he champ soon.

Reyes showed that Jiri is hittable but he’s also super dangerous and one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. That should be celebrated

I can see Jan or even Glover catching Jiri. But I am still a fan because of the way he fights.

Hes athletic with KO power in whatever he throws. His porous defensive traits help bait his opponents into overcommitting, and then he finds the finishing shots. Dudes got like all knockouts on his record because he takes these risks, its not going to always work out - he already got knocked out by King Mo when Mo was way past it.

I think he'll get the belt even if he loses to Glover. Hes a knockout specialist in a division with like 40 guys, hes going to get a lot of opportunities to the title.

Jiri gets mauled by Glover. Dude ain't stopping Glover from that GnP and likely sub.

Reservations about a fighter like Jiri are understandable! I absolutely sympathize with you there. But it didn't necessarily feel as if Jiri was being outstruck by Dom while I was watching the fight. Yes, Dom fought well and landed some nice counters, but even before the spinning elbow, Jiri was marching through his shots and doing a lot more cumulative damage with his strikes. I got the sense that it was only matter of time before Jiri finished him, and the fight reached a point where Dom had already taken such cumulative damage that Jiri could finish it however/whenever he wanted. IMO it was a more decisive melting than the Oezdemir performance

Reyes wasn't outstriking him. Jiri was ahead on the numbers, being far more offensive, and was causing way more damage.
