being excited for rampage and tito doesn't make you an old school fan, it makes you a dinosaur out of touch with reality.

You're just playing a role in trying to live up to your namesake. It's hopelessly transparent.

GTFO if you're really that jaded.

Some people like old names even if they arent top fighters anymore more than great young fighters.

And no once it lost Eddie/Chandler it lost alot for me.

No, I really can't deal with threads that are this blatantly stupid.

It's a good card. Alvarez/Chandler 3 would have been truly PPV worthy.

People wear this "old school fan" badge of honour, when really it's another way of saying, "I don't follow the sport anymore"

I actually am as well. Maybe it's just because it's been marketed differently. But to be fair, I didn't see almost any of the propaganda leading up to it. So maybe it's just that it's a different style of showcase with a lot of talent.

The fact is that the card has fighters that fans follow since they started to watch mma,Tito and Rampage being in the card its good, specially because after all the time thats passed, they seem in shape to another battle. Always a Tito fan,to the negative people, wait to watch him lose if that makes you feel better, for the ones who know his legacy and gives value to that, another fight to enjoy from the Badboy.

Simple: If you are more hyped for this card than seeing the likes of Jones, Teixeira, Rockhold, and Benavidez, you're simply out of touch with modern MMA.

Not to mention, other than the main event and ivanov/volkov, this entire card is filled with massive mismatches.

You're free to be as excited for anything as you want to be. If you want to use that as evidence that this PPV is better than UFC offerings though, you're barking up the wrong tree. It could end up being a very exciting night of fights, or a dud.

    On the contrary.

Many people who identify as old school fans are the fair weather fans. They are the people who hold on to Pride with rose coloured glasses, and refuse to move along with the sport as it evolves.
