I'm I the only one who doesn't feel Conor was humble in defeat?

He keeps bringing up the weight question.

He talked about the reach difference.

He talks about not being efficient with his energy.

With a different strategy he thinks he will do fine at 170

"It was simply me fighting a heavier man"

"I feel he was efficient with his energy and I was inefficient, that's it"

All from the press conference.

Never once did he say he fought the better MMA fighter.

Yes he was you're just hating which is the opposite of nuthugging.

He doesnt have to blow nate if he doesnt want to.

a lot of people agree with that.

he started off fairly humble and you could tell he was trying to stay that way, he just couldn't contain himself. the "efficiency" stuff was comical (and of course the fanboys took that and ran with it).

Not sure about the "excuses" but there was certainly evidence of acknowledgement.

Pretty much every fighter does it.

Right after the fight, admits they lost and will come back.

Post-fight press they come out with excuses. I was gassed, suffering from hemorrhoids/flu, bad weight cut, blahblahblah.

The humbleness ended , when he started to talk about RDA. basically Why would you( here you means Conor, not you TS) bring up RDA into this conversation? He was still going on talking about how RDA would have crumbled in front those shots. How did you know? Why did you bring up superficial things. That's just nonsense.

Yea I agree with rarafury. This is super common; right after a fighter has lost, usually the in-ring interview is humble, then the post-fight presser starts the snowball effect of excuses.

Conor LOST, not only LOST, but was FINISHED on the ground in a DOMINANT way. Nate fucked him up with a Mata leo choke and didn't give two shits about Conors power on the feet.

Honestly, watch the Conor fight and then the Johnson fight. Same thing, except Conor quit on the feet from the punishment and shot for a takedown... like? A takedown on Diaz? So he was outstruck, his confidence was broken and he was in desperation. The choke cinched and he tapped instantly.

Yet so many people say things like "Conor is still champ" and "Conor is a winner to me". It's kind of ridiculous. I love McGregor but I didn't think he would win and he CLEARLY has some issues he needs to work on, his determination was nothing more than a smoke show. When the going got tough, he quit.

Disappointed.

Explaining why Nate beat him with logic is different from making excuses why Nate beat him.

He underestimated how well bigger same stance guys with proper boxing defense could take his shots. That's not an excuse, that's exactly what happened when you watch the fight.

He pretended to be humble, but his ego couldn't take it so he kept dropping thinly veiled excuses. It fooled some people, but it's clear he wasn't humble. He didn't beat a much bigger man, he beat an out of shape LW that was getting drunk 12 days before the fight.

You should become a political reporter. Pulling quotes out of context allows you to make them appear to be whatever you want.

No, you are not alone. Conor took his defeat like shit, and immediately started throwing crap on FB/Twitter.

he repeated over and over again that hes humble in defeat - so people repeated that - but he also did show up to the press conference which i thought was prety classy but then yea, he made some excuses - but that just gave nate diaz the opportunity to correct him in front of everyone, that was pretty cool and if conor didnt make any excuses, we wouldnt have gotten that treat

He needs to keep fooling and coaxing the casual fanbase, those that only know one UFC fighter (him) and his fanboys into believing he is the best. Credit to him for doing it so successfully - for the most part it seems like people are falling for the excuses

It is nuthugging. Just because they're hanging on the opposite side of his nuts doesn't mean they're not nuthuggers.

No, you are not the only one. There will always be haters.

IMO he just explained why he lost. It's not excuses to me.

Yep still arrogant as hell and not humble at all. The bullshit cardio excuse is absolutely pathetic
