I went back and watched some of her fights. Her striking looks pretty decent, doesn't seem to have a lot of combos but looks quick. Her takedowns are obviously good as well. Looks pretty strong too. If it turns into a grappling match I don't think Rhonda will have her way with her like other fighters, I also don't think Rhonda will throw her around as easily. Rhonda just came off a fight with Miesha, I'm not so sure that fighting so soon is such a good idea. How much more am I missing? Thoughts? Who else is giving McMann a good chance?

I still think she has a better chance than any BW besides Davis. If she can Fitch all 5 rounds or hurt Rowdy on the feet she could win, it's just not likely... definitely not rooting for her though, come on ROWDY.

Have you watched them? Even if you haven't, just watching both of their respective fights since they have turned pro would tell you McMann is a big underdog. She will need to have improved massively in the last year. I hope she has.

Funny, I also saw a bunch of her fights recently and felt she won't be able to stop Ronda's hip throw.

I don't know, those body locks she did against SHeila or Shayna didn't inspire much confidance...

The problem with striking against Ronda isn't some much the strikes it self, but the set ups and footwork. Otherwise Ronda can eat some but get close enough when you are off balance, and do some kind of Judo throw or trip from the clinch or body lock.

I hope she doesn't trade much with Ronda and just bait her, and when Ronda comes in like a freaking train just trying to get close, she hits a double leg!

Sorry, but I actually dont see how Macmann can take this one. The match up was just too soon, two more fights and she would be ready for Ronda...

I honestly have never seen McMann fight... I don't really care for WMMA.As an Olympic silver medallist in freestyle (?) wrestling, I gotta think her takedowns are phenomenal, but are they in an MMA context? How's her cardio? Chin doesn't really matter here, but based on what you've seen her do will she be able to take Ronda down, keep her there, not gas, and not get submitted? Has she ever shown anything off her back?
