As if rankings are ever a good indicator of things.

That's your opinion. You are entitled to your opinion. Personally I don't think it makes sense. There are a lot of guys who have beaten Shogun and are ranked ahead of him (Gus, OSP, Latifi, etc.) that would have a much solid case.

Shogun's case is as good as Hendo's case against Bisping.
