Media Ilia Topuria training in the new home gym, not any sparring

Topuria could be a pro boxer with 6 months preparation, I don't know why but I believe him yo

To be fair he didn't say he would win.

He could 100% have a boxing match with any boxer with 6 months of training.

They still get paid if they lose. He would be a "pro boxer"

Fighters should have borderline insane confidence.
What they are doing is fucking crazy.
Best to have unwavering self belief for such endeavors.

He's planting seeds for a Conor like boxing crossover. Maybe he believes it, but I think he would take a match with someone in boxing for money down the road.

This dude was on a monster tear looking like next big thing as a fighter ........ up and 86s his team who helped make him .

I really like watching this kid. You dont 1 shot a legend like Volk or ko the best boxer in ufc who only even been knocked down once if your not great. His head has ballooned n I am betting on Charles even on slide to beat him.. just dumb

Where does it say he's not sparring?
He said so like a month ago on Rogan's podcast IIRC.

He said that he's walking around much heavier now when there's no need to cut to 145 lbs.
What he noticed was that he didn't need to land anything particularly well, just by a touch of his hands
the sparring partners went lights out. So he feels confident to drop it and just focus on technique and
to harden his body through other ways.

I've heard of dropping sparing because it's too taxing on older fighters and presents unnesicary damage but I don't think I've ever heard "I don't need to spar because it's too easy to KO people".

That's a new level of arrogance that can only backfire in the future.

Pfft. Doesn't even compare to my home Gym..

Topuria is okay, but if he’s truly believes this, why doesn’t he just switch to boxing and start making a bunch of money?

He’d be the dumbest fucking prize fighter, sitting around fighting for peanuts in the UFC when he can go straight to fighting boxing champs from Welterweight on up.

Look at how he punches hard with minimal momentum. Shortest distance between point A to B with maximum force. He is almost no shoulder movement to generate power and speed (as a result he does not telegraph his punches). Guy has insane amount of raw strength in his arms that he needs minimal momentum to generate power.

First of all, hype talk should not be taken seriously.
Secondly, maybe mma is more fun to him.

First, yup I agree. Not taking it too seriously.

Second: It can’t be so fun that he’s willing to miss out on millions. But hey, to each his own.
