Ok sherbro's so i checked wiki and noticed that Igor Vovchanchyn went 18-2 within a year from his pro mma debut.
Is this some kind of record or do you know of any fighter beating this?
For example Fedor went 6-1 within a year of his debut.

I'd check Travis Fulton's. Idk what it is, but he fought like 300+ times, so if anyone fought more in his first year he's as good a candidate as any.

I don't know...but wasn't he also on a 37 fight winning streak?

Dude was a freaking animal!

To rack up so many fights in your first year...isn't happening anymore...
Igor fought in a time where the Events were mostly only one night tourneys...

I don't know, but that badass definitely holds a spot on the unofficial "heaviest hands of all time" list

That would take Cain 36 to 40 years to fight that much

the good ol´NHB reality...

That Igor Guy is greatly missed.

Retired too soon.

Speaking of early Igor Valeans arguably showed the best chin in MMA history here...

About a dozen normally fight ending punches before he went down.

If i could go back in time and bring any fighter to 2018, it would be prime Vovchanchyn.. 6 months of adaptation to the unified rules and dude would bring back some fun to this game

Igor and Sakuraba, give those guys some modern training in their prime and kick back and watch the fireworks! Crazy to think they'd most likely be a MW and WW respectively, considering how many bigass dudes they both fought over their careers.

He was fighting straight BUMS though.

If you were following MMA in 1999, the biggest fight in the sport was Vovchanchyn vs Rizzo. Every promoter was trying to make it happen but it never materialized.

Not like there was fuck loads of MMA talent in Russia/Ukraine in the mid 90's....I'm sure he was fighting some pretty tough guys for the time.

I cringe everytime I remember Mark Kerr kneeing Varelan's face. What a terrible time to take a beating, when the stoppages were usually very late.

looks like he had "only" 13 fights within a year of his pro debut.

Tough? I dunno how anyone could know how tough these random civilians were. Local gym rats from small towns that wanted something to do. He was like the male Ronda Rousey. He was a talented striker though. Way ahead of his time.

Vovchanchyn/Rizzo would have done wonders for the sport in '99. The sport stagnated for three years longer than it had to because that fight was never made IMO.

Oh you actually post sometimes?I thought you only posted that stupid pro wrestling gif over and over. You should probably go back to that now or go back to a pro wrestling forum with the rest of the little fat kids.
