If you were hypothetically cryogenically frozen two years ago and woke up yesterday to tune into the PPV and log into Sherdog would you pleased with the current state of MMA?

I would probably be tickled pink about the LHW situation. Two years ago it looked like no one posed a credible threat to Bones. Now we had the Gustaffson war, Rashad returning to form, Glover riding a big win steak to a title shot, and Cormier finally dropping down. LHW is far more interesting right now then it's been in a long time.

185 we saw Anderson dethroned which was bound to happen. Weidman is intriguing and im excited about Jacare, Machida and Belfort. Id say 185 is more interesting now.

HW fizzled out..Overeem has disappointed big time and Junior can't take out Cain. Im not a big Cain fain.

170 without GSP is never going to be anywhere near as good. He was my favorite fighter. Im psyched that he left the game on top but I am not excited about 170 anymore.

155 and under havent changed too much for me.

The one thing that drives me nuts is women's MMA. Everyone is discussing it and acting like Rousey is the poster girl of the UFC. A women's mma title fight should be the first fight of the night. Not a headliner. It's destroying PPVs for me. Rousey is so fake. She knows she has to act like a bitch for people to get excited about her fights. The reality is women's mma is really poor compared to mens mma. Just like women's basketball isn't anywhere near as good as mens basketball. Women's hockey isn't as good as mens hockey...etc.

I hope the UFC gets creamed on PPV numbers for last night. They deserve it after lining up that shit card, having it fall apart and then trying to sell us dog shit with fake drama between Cormier and some bicycle riding fit middle aged guy. That was not a good night for MMA.

I would probably go back to sleep.

Well in a cryogenic sleep, you cant actually be woken up...so yeah.

GSP left on top and 170 is no longer interesting.... lol.... gets me everytime.

Where is Faber today?

UFC is doing a nosedive right now. Sit back and enjoy Dana and the Fertitta's arrogance consume them in the shit fire they started.

Mixed bag. Silva and GSP are gone, but their divisions now have the potential to be really interesting. This Dana/Ronda nonsense is kinda annoying though.

I wouldn't be stupid enough to start comparing MMA to team sports like hockey and basketball.

Hw situation got worse, along with ww and wmma (Cyborg still not in the Ufc) Everything else is better in terms of potential match ups except that the events lately have been horrible. Middleweight has tons of potential especially since Weidman looks invincible and he is about to fight a monster worse than any nightmare.
