If I defeated Oezdemir then I'll face Gus next. If I defeated him, then I would demand a title shot at HW. If I win that, retire and fade off into the sunset or behind a UFC analyst desk.

He said a few days ago that this would probably be his last year of competition, that he doesn't plan to be fighting at 40.

Putting myself in his shoes, I'd beat Volkan, then see if I can get another title defense in while Gus is injured, hopefully a different contender emerges. Then I would consider a move to HW. Gus is a guaranteed war, and DC doesn't really need that at this stage, regardless of who wins. If the HW picture looks too dangerous though, maybe has to suit up for another fight with Gus, and if it ends the same way, subsequent title defences would be easy.

Dude, he is getting paid U$500K plus per fight. All he has to do is lay-n-pray on these fools, and it is easy money.

He would be stupid to retire now. The guys with one punch KO power have been eliminated or retired. He is the best wrestler in the division.

He can make over U$3M in his next 3 fights. The only tough opponent is Alex Gustafson, and he is injured and recovering.

It is an easy path to a few more big cheques for DC. That is why he is jolly again. Jon Jones' stupidity and USADA saved DC's legacy. LOL

Well I think ideally for him he would want to stay healthy long enough to beat Jones's record for most LHW title defenses and then retire as one FU to Jones.
