It was crazy reading some of the stuff people wrote on this forum , especially regarding JDS speed and chin. JDS had one loss to Overeem and won his last fight in a tough brawl against the guy who fighting for the title.

When I heard Rothwell accepted this fight , I always thought it was a bad match up for him as JDS's speed and boxing would nullify Rothwells unorthodox style. There is an old saying " to beat a brawler you box with him " and thats what JDS did .

I think JDS reminded us how sloppy and slow Rothwell is , it also had reminiscence of Rothwells fight with Cain.

I did call JDS TKO by Rnd 2 , but I think the fight could have ended in the last two rounds when Rothwell just stood in front of JDS but JDS was calm , stuck to the game plan and of course respected Rothwell's power.

So for all the Sherdog's who bought a front row ticket to the Rothwell war wagon , step right up and share what you think went wrong for Rothwell.

I wasn't shitting on Junior but I was rooting for Rothwell.

Dude is damn funky and I would have loved to see him get a title shot.

Ben and JDS are two of the nicest guys in the sport, it's hard to root against either one.

I thought Rothwell would pin him against the cage and pull out the win. I was wrong, but I also didn't think JDS had no shot. Great performance by JDS. He fought smart and it paid dividends.

I really expected a little more variety out of Rothwell, though I'm not sure why. Clearly standing with Junior wasn't working, why not at least pretend to attempt a takedown.

I'm not ashamed to have picked Rothwell. JDS has looked pretty lost lately and Rothwell has done some great things.

I'm happy for JDS, though. I hope he was serious about not 'sabotaging himself' anymore. I've missed THAT JDS! Looked good today!

He is done as a top 3 fighter. Cause the top 3 is way better than him and everyone else. I was one of the few who never got the excuses of him looking bad because of the Cain fight. Because the others fighters are just terrible. Rothwell was on a streak, but that doesn't stop anything, he looked bad in almost every win.
