My dog was a great pyrenees with a double coat who refused to come inside when it snowed. Snow was the second greatest joy in his life after playing with small animals.

That's somewhat surprising considering that malamutes are a high-energy working breed. I guess it adapted to the sedentary life. I have a hard time believing that's good for it.

Shaving a husky is actually a bad idea. They have 2 coats. The outer layer helps with hot weather. So if you shave them they have no protection.

I live in Thailand half the year, which is HOT 9.5 months per year. A wealthy military family moved in next to us about 5 years ago (we have since moved to another location), and they had a Husky. Status symbol dog. A designer dog, as I call them, as it applies to people like that. That poor dog...I won't go into it. What are you gonna do, as my Dad used to say.
