If you need bench press help...

Draw your shoulder blades together similar to a bench setup. Your traps will form a shelf. Put the par on the trap shelf. This is the high bar.

And do I need to do a medium grip and flex my lats, or do I do a narrow grip and have my elbows wider than my hands?

Is this right?

This is a video of how to perform an olympic squat:
- bar is sitting on traps
- elbows in tight and pulled back
- hands gripping as close together as possible
- back arched and tight
- abs and butt tight
- feet planted about shoulder with apart with toes pointed out slightly.

I'll disagree slightly. The wider your hands the less the bar has to move, and the more stable at the top you'll be.

You can have your hands tucked in real close if you want, and it might be good to do that to mix it up. I'd probably recommend sticking to pinkie or ring finger on the power ring or so, though.

Both these guys have pretty sick BTNJ's:

C.Beeby - How'd they go?

I have a question concerning the grip width. I read what Ascendant had to say, but he said both wide and narrow give you a stretch reflex, and to only use a narrow grip if the trainee had healthy shoulder. Does that mean a medium grip (lets say comp grip index on rings) is the safest? I ask because my shoulder is bothering me, and also b/c I heard that a close grip was easier on the shoulders.
