If for whatever reason you were forced to leave your current life (girlfriend/wife, family, friends) to ensure theirs and your protection, where would you want to go and what would you like to do?

Obviously you'd need a new name, residence (anywhere in the world), and occupation.

You can't just be the owner of Microsoft or any huge position, but a modest job that you have the ability to go to without any prior knowledge. (Assuming your documents and education could be faked).

if i had to i would become a librarian in the library of congress in Washington, i like the quiet, but if that doesnt work i'd be a park ranger in Yellowstone (i'd carry weapons in case of bears obviously), and i thought it was great we can get a new name, in both cases i would pick the same one: Rick Hunter

Unfortunately I'd want to run away to the same place I live currently, on a farm in Western Montana. If I had to choose a place........

I mean if my life is already fucked I'd probably join the French Foreign Legion, that would be awesome I think.

Already did that, it sucks, but was worth it in the end.

But If i had to do it all over again, i would probably move to Canada or Australia. I would probably work as janitor or a bouncer at first, and later would find some use for my useless education.

I guess I'll answer my own question.

I'd change my name to Charles "Charlie" White, mainly because I like the name Charlie and the lastname...well because it's pretty basic and doesn't stand out.

I'd move to LA and try to find any kind of decent writing job, preferably for a good TV show.

I was a Ranger in Yellowstone. Not as nice as you'd think. Overpopulated, you can't carry a firearm unless you are a Type II ranger at minimum(then you can't carry off duty unless you're a Type I). The National Park Service is shit, the ranger mythos is dead.

Either move back to my home country (Chile) I would like to be able to play a few songs in the guitar and surf and live like a bum inside a VW van. or Europe, probably work as a bartender and travel around Europe and go crazy over there.

But I like my life here

    Little of topic:

I think its good to start your life from clean slate. Usually a person don't have much control over their own lives before they are like 18. And usually your life ending depends on where you started.

Most people have a bad start, so why not try again but this time you are older, wiser stronger etc. Just move, be a new person, present your self in different way. Your life could be so much better if you move out of your comfort zone.

And of course this is advice is not for everyone.
