Im sure its true. People gamble with thier health and try to gut it out to avoid bills all the time. A lot of strokes and heart attacks could be avoided for example but people ignore warning signs and poof. Im sure theres people will tell themselves its just a cold to avoid the bill as well.

I don't live in the U.S but would the CDC and other government organizations take over and assume all costs related to the pandemic, including treatment and hospitalization? It would make sense to me that in the face of a public health emergency like this that the government would remove that barrier to control the spread as much as possible.

I’ve already paid my 2700 deductible, (thanks Obama), and I’m now up to about 5,000 in bills. And insurance declined my doctor requested CT scan last week.
