Does anyone agree with this? If you don't have any problems, you go and look for one.

I think this is why people who retire early, also die earlier than if they kept on working.

It's called boredom. It's human nature

Sounds like the war room really.

This is what they mean by first world problems

Why would I look for problems if everything is smooth sailing?

Anyone who has worked with co-workers already knows this

Not everyone, but for some people, yes. That is certainly my biggest problem.

Seems to be particularly true in relationships, for me at least.

I'll be with a girl for a while, things are going alright, but eventually I start focusing on all the things I don't like, not that they're suddenly appearing, they've been around since I first meet them, but as time goes on, they seem to come to the forefront.

Depends on the person. That certainly doesn't apply to everyone.

I'm just looking for a fight!

No, I'd say that people often seek problems because of what they give them. So an abused child grows up into an adult who seeks conflict because it shows the person cares (opposite is indifference).

The child who experiences privation will grow to an adult who can never stop working because everything might run out any time.

If you have no problems you have no problems, that however is a pretty unlikely event. We are all imperfect vessels, chipped, cracked.

People who die early after retirement die because they lack the imagination to fill their lives with purpose and socialisation after the job ends. They defined themselves by work and let it provide all the human contact, respect and purpose they needed. Then they finish that and the body gets the messege they aren't needed, they are nothing but a burden to tribe and hey presto evolutiono, the resources they have and use are redistributed amongst those who are fit (able to reproduce).

Look for a problem when there isn’t one?

Isn’t that what women do?

You might need to be more discerning when choosing a mate. A lifelong partner is a different thing to a romantic partner. You need to be able to feel what it's like. If you don't understand and know yourself then you can't appreciate what's right for you.

Mainly it's the willingness and capacity for mutual change. Similar levels of attractiveness, similar class etc all help a great deal.

Also make sure they're not on the pill when courting.

The problem isn't the problem.

Wrap ya head round that one. Women are more emotionally intelligent, not rationally so, their intention may be destructive or stupid but the method is usually pretty crafty.

Misdirection and smoke everywhere.

It's not the thing, it's you. Except it's not actually you, it's them. If they just flipped that to it being you that would be easy to figure bit they go one step further. You get to figure something out and feel smart but still end up being the one with the burden of blame, change and responsibility.

Truth is anyone not happy with another is not happy with themselves because others are only in our lives as a result of our continued largesse.

Applies to me. Wish I could change. Idle minds are the devil's workshop.
