That is a simplistic view. The way you pair “work and hunt” paints your world view as something from the last century. If you are spending your time on an Internet forum, there is no chance you are hunting for your food. You might hunt for fun occasionally, maybe. The caveman vibe is reinforced by the use of the word “weak”.
Again, this isn’t a bygone era. We live in an advanced civilization. Each of us specialize in something, and depend on other specialist to provide everything else. Building houses is accomplished by architects and skilled laborers, farming is accomplished with huge specialized equipment that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, not mules with leather harness. MJ honed his skill to a fantastic level, admiring that doesn’t make me weak. That’s like saying appreciating Shakespeare makes me dumb because I didn’t write it myself.
Probably is simplistic. That is the way the world is NOW, that is the way me and the rest of the world that don't rely on government handouts live.
Hunting, working, and raising/ farming your food isn't that difficult. People have been doing it forever and still had free time to pursue hobbies. But I personally see ball playing as a waist of time that doesn't teach anything for real life situations. I try and discourage children from glorifying such a weak activity.
I have actually plowed and pulled loggs with horses and mules. (prefer horses) It is much cheaper than using equipment. I have used heavy machinery a little as well.
I also have drawn up and built several houses.
And help plant and harvest gardens every year as well as forage wild greens, mushrooms, and herbs.
All while being a full time coal miner and hunting every time I get a chance.
I have even bean a boxer and do a little weight lifting.
(I was always interested in learning some sword play and mma but can't really find anyone close that knows these skills beyond some YouTube videos)
If lazy man children didn't worship ball players and consume liberal propaganda they would have plenty of time to learn these essential skills also. Heck, most people can't even build a fire much less feed themselves if they can't throw a can in the microwave before going to play with balls.
I also find Shakespeare to be a bit long winded but I have enjoyed a few of his plays.
But if you like ball players that's fine with me friend. We are all different and like different things. Don't stop being yourself for anyone, not even for my hateful hide.
