Over the last few decades the Republican party has moved much further right than the Democrats have moved left. Kennedy would be fully welcome in the 2021 Democratic party, you couldn't say the same about Ronald Reagan in the 2021 Republican party and Eisenhower would be given the Liz Cheney treatment in a heartbeat.

Sure, but I theres a bit of a difference between widely researched subjects like climate change, which is agreed upon by most scientists around the world as opposed to anti-vax conspiracy theories spread around online.
Also, Republicans haven't proposed a single policy to actually benefit the middle class of America. At least Democrats try to do something for the benefit of the citizens

I've done this test a few times and I consistently scored pretty much where the dot on that i is in the picture. But you can't talk to cretins about it, they know better.

The authoritarian vs liberty scale is what matters most IMO. I belong to a forum where the members all consist of people left and right - but all of them libertarian leaning. They all get along fine.
