You're possibly right. I just dislike Valentina because she plays it safe.

She reminds me of Jon Jones in her style. Bullshit long range with good technical striking. It's like Chuck Liddell if he wanted to win by landing jabs, teeps, and leg kicks all fight long.

These fighters should lose 100% of decisions. I'm tired of these boring ass styles. Valentina landed that head kick against Eye ... but that was semi-luck. She would have continued the whole fight just landing pot-shots from range. It's boring.

I now have no problem with Shev losing a decision to Nunes.

You are not being honest. Nunes clearly won the first fight. There is no argument for Valentina winning. The second fight was boring, both fighters were tentative and nothing really happened. Neither fighter clearly won that fight.

meh it was close both fights and nunes go the nod..not gonna say ROBBERY.. just close fights. even if you gave her one of those wins, nunes still beat everyone else..


the crazy part is, nunes is getting better by a long shot each fight. I think the bullet is the most skilled WMMA fighter ever but the explosiveness and size differnce of nunes puts her just a slight bit ahead of the bullet...

valentina is smaller...and competes at a lower weight class, yet still came very close to beating nunes...I think that puts her very near goat status for women...she beat joanna and holly...beating holly nowadays, doesn't impress me all that much...but beating joanna anytime is a good win...definitely wanna see them fight again...valentina vs nunes that is.

Yeah she clearly won the second fight and she is the women's GOAT to me as well. She would have easily embarrassed Cyborg and maybe even knocked her out. I made a thread a couple years ago saying the first 3 division champ would be Shevchenko, but she unfortunately was robbed in the 2nd Nunes fight.

And I like Nunes. She has won me a lot of money and she was awesome to us fans when I was at the weigh in for the Rousey fight. But she clearly lost that Schev fight to me.

Shevchenko beat Nunes like Santos beat Jon aka she didn’t beat sh** but she made the match very competitive which is a big part of the reason why she has the #2 spot right behind Nunes on my GOAT list.

i think Valentina could have got the nod in both fights and it would not be controversial outside huggers or haters. The fights were very close.

That said Valentina fights very rigid against Nunes in a way that focuses on defense and neutralizing Nunes and as Machida learned in the early days, that style is not fan or judge friendly and you will likely lose the nod in close fights where it appears the opponent is the one pushing the fight.

we're talking about first fight? lol, Nunes gassed after she was trying to murder Valentina for 2 rounds. Valentina did close to nothing in 3rd when Nunes was completly gassed.
You're talking about 2nd fight like it was some f..in war, in reality it was uneventful fight, one of worst title fights in history, because:
1. Valentina is not fighter who will push pace and not because she was fighting "larger" girls, there's proof - her fight vs Jedrzejczyk, she was comfortable counterstriking basicaly short notice oponnent from 2 classes below, that's fact.
2. Nunes was in one of lowest points of her career - she was hated after her pullout 2 months before, and she was not confident because of her gastank, so she played it very safe, still almost nothing happened in this fight...so it should be draw, so no win bonus for any of them for shitshow they both delivered.

Shevchenko should make good bucks destroying Jessica Eye's of this world in her "natural" weight class,because this time there's high chance it will be asskicking., if she gonna face Amanda, and you will cry like little bitches.

If you want to tell me V is the "better" fighter, I wouldn't be mad.
