Would it really be a lot different? Let's say you HAD to finish the fight, either by TKO or submission. Do you think the belts would be different? I still think it would be largly the same with a few exceptions.

I'm basically thinking of guys with good gas tanks, good defense, don't take a ton of risk. I'm just gonna throw a few odd names out for teh sake of discussion :)

HW - Stipe
LHW - Bones
MW - Luke/Gegard
WW - Maia
LW - Khabib/RDA (Khabib can't stay healthy)
FW - Aldo
BW - TJ
FlyW - MM

Either Diaz brother.

Dudes have unlimited endurance and are tough as fuck.

God. Imagine Bones vs OSP in an unlimited rounds match...

No one, because MMA would have died years ago. Lay n pray would be the surest way to victory, even more than it is now.

Why do you have Aldo listed if you're arguing for no time limit... And Conor has by far the better finish rate?

Uhh

EPO Would be the drug of choice, Someone like Sonnen or Guida would be champ of every division, MMA would suck shit.

Every TKO would be like Hughes over Penn.

It would be the worst.

Nick Diaz Ww champ. Maia? Time limits have never cost maia a victory that I can remember.

This is the greatest reply I've read in quite some time.

I think some people are kinda getting this wrong, in this crazy hypothetical the guys that can finish you would be champ as the guys that can't would be in 7 to 10 round wars and eventually would get injured or get wrecked. Guys that can finish quick, even getting finished quick is an advantage here as it gives you the chance to fight again soon, rebound and take the belt back.

i think khabib would have to change his style, i dont see him knocking people out, he doesnt have the best hands and his grinding wrestling, he couldnt do it forever. So many fighters would need to change the way they fight to be successful. Too hard to even answer this but one thing I know, 209 would rule.

Stipe showed some gas tank issues with Gonzaga. Granted it could have just been a bad night for him. Im wanting to see how Ngannou does as a contender...
