Then, there’s nothing Robert can do to stop him from getting that belt. He actually was toying with Rockhold before he finished him! This is unheard off at that level. Don’t get me wrong, I get that the champ is amazing, but he had to be 100% perfect just to get a decision. Romero in his last showing looked more like a superhuman fighting a human in Luke. So my money is on the soldier of God is for sure.

If you’re a betting man, who would put the big money on?

Note: I do realize that the champ was injured, but Romero didn’t go full throttle in that fight also.

So he lost the 1st round to Luke and some had Luke winning the 2nd too and Yoel looked superhuman? He looked about normal.I wouldn't bet on Whittaker at -250,nor would I bet on Yoel at +200 but if I had to bet probably Yoel at those odds.I wouldn't touch that fight.I think Whittaker beats him clearer than last time.

Whittaker kicks Yoels ass bad this time around. Yoel will never be a champion as long as Whittaker is fighting.

Whittaker is way faster. Much more durable. More suited for the weight class. Better defence. Better offence. Stylistically better matched for Yoel.

And Yoel will have to make weight this time if he wants his belt.

Ok don’t say I didn’t warn you

Romero had to take out one of Whitaker’s knees in hopes of winning and Whittaker STILL almost finished the cube.

As much as i love Romero he did go full throttle... and ya he has the chance to get a KO. But imo not much has changed, Robert is going to be a little better and so is Romero but i think that Whittaker probably has improved more since their last fight then Romero. But all in all the fight is going to be the same...

Romero is going to do what he has perfected a little more.... he is going to save his energy as much as he can for the later rounds 3-4 when Whittaker will be a little slower and his reaction time will be a little slower this is when he is going to strike. But Whittaker is probably going to put a lot of pressure on him so that he is not going to succeed very well with this plan. I see Romero burning himself out in the third or fourth, he will try to save his energy to explode around that time but he will just not have enough juice to put Whittaker away then.

He could of course get "lucky" and get that KO but i see it more likely that Whittaker gets another dec. win or even a TKO in the 5th. Either way great fight and i actually love both of these guys a lot they are both great/funny characters and it's a shame one of them has to lose.

He was on one knee.

Whittaker will be happy to engage in a lot more striking than Luke did

I thought Vegas would open this up -145/ +115.
Vegas opened up Robert a 2-1 favorite and is over 220 now everywhere. This would concern me if I was a Yoel fan/supporter .
- was really taken back by that.
I thought the same about rockhold/ Romero where I figured opener to be the slightest of favorites. Yoel opened -190ish everywhere and where it stayed. Vegas, to no surprise, catching on to this game

Because he is physically extremely gifted and he won’t let the belt pass him by this time around

I honestly think Romero would beat Whittaker if he pace himself and stop wasting his energy on takedown
But doesn’t matter because Romero would send prime Silva to the shadow realm

I'm torn.

On one hand you have to respect Whittaker, dude is a beast and beating Romero on one leg is fucking insane.

But on the other hand how will he go 5 more rounds, 10 in total without getting clipped by Romero?

Rockhold Is not Whittaker

Different animal entirely

I do realize that, but it looks like Romero has a new found game plan and his boxing looked incredible. He was handling Luke like a little kid man
