USADA will do the same. You watch. Remember what the athletic commissions did to Chael for failing a 2nd time? 2 year ban was it? Lol they banned Wand for life for evading a drug test until it was overturned. This is all pre USADA. This is so corrupt. Just abolish USADA and pay off the commissioners like you did in the past and let everyone use steroids. Not just the "stars" it's unfair. You talk about a level playing field. This is not fair. Jones is a multiple time cheater. If you don't like that fact then you change the fucking rules to where using steroids aren't cheating ala Pride and ala UFC TRT days.

nick diaz got a 5 year suspension doing weed. life is unfair

atleast he lost almost 1/2 of his pay for the fight, and most important, lost his belt.

USADA giving him only 8months and that's it.

UFC does USADA to cover their ass from liability so if a fighter gets seriously hurt or dies they are not sued for Negligence for billions. USADA provides that shield so they will never ever get rid of it. For public consumption they say it's for fair competition but we all know its not true way Brock and jones and other money fighters are treated.

Money comes and goes. He can win back his belt any chance he gets. What's the most important thing from this decision is whether or not USADA is serious about punishing those who fail tests. The problem is the UFC is a paying customer and may influence the decision most likely. If they don't punish him per USADA policy it's safe to say USADA is just smoke and mirrors.

The AC didn't give him a one year suspension. They just took his license away and said let USADA decide how long he should be suspended.

Meh

The only thing MMA fans win with Jones getting suspended is having a crying paper champion instead.

Honestly I'd rather see Jones fighting again asap. Don't care if he cheated. His legacy is tainted and he won't ever be the GOAT in my book.

A suspension does nothing for me as a fight fan.

so it's not, it doesn't even make sense. so they risk losing millions without a top fighter like jones for some stupid liability crap? before USADA it was the commissions that have the liability covered, they never needed USADA for that

I am just saying at least he did not get off the hook and got the NC overturned back to a win like all his delusional fans were thinking.

I do t give a fuck either if I’m being honest, let em fight.

A short suspension would play right into the ufc’s hands because there’s nobody for him to fight currently anyway. Build Gustafson’s stock up for a year then hype a rematch when jones is back or something like that

A couple hundreds of thousands of dollars, a few months off and revoked license for a repeated failed user is a slap on the wrist. It's been said a million times the state Athletic commissions main job is to extract funding from the pockets of fighters. They couldn't care less about drugs if you ask me.

I know what you are saying brah. But It just grinds my gears how useless and fake these commission are.

So can he still fight in Vegas? Also, is it a retroactive suspension going back to his last fight?
