Then I will miss Dana...only Dana in that circus. I hope Anik will get sacked along with Florian and they bring some legitimate commentators in that place.

Don't be so sure, he might get replaced by someone better.

I hope I never have to see Dana's face again. The MMA world would be much better without him.

I kinda doubt anyone is willing to pay 3-4b for the UFC. Most people would view that as a pretty drastic overvaluation on revenues of 600m for a traditional business, and 600m is the best they've ever done, with little reason to believe they'll do better this year.

Is Anik a QB because you want him to get sacked?

I could well see Dana remaining even if the UFC are bought out, perhaps even retaining all or part of his own interest in the company with a new investor just buying the Fertitta's out. He is obviously part of the image of the company although I spose you could argue his value has declined in more recent years.

I do think it makes sense to potentially sell now, Ronda and McGregor have brought the company to a high point that its uncertain it will remain at in the near future.

As far as what it could mean I would be hopeful a new owner takes a more long term view. Personally I'v always thought the Fertitta's treated the UFC post TUF as too much of a cash cow to help prop up Station Casinos taking too much out and thus damaging the future of the sport. Right now things still look pretty rosey as were dealing with a talent base that was established before the near UFC monopoly but I don't think ne wtalent is coming close to replacing the talent were likely to lose in the next 2-3 years(especially with no TRT and tighter testing).

The good thing with MMA is that I think investment in talent can give you results much more quickly, most sports your talking 5-10 years before investment in youth training comes though but in MMA your talking more about investing in fighters to switch sports. The UFC for example could probably go out and flash the cash right now and have half a dozen or more world class kickboxers switch, many of whome have already dabbled in MMA training.

If I was a young talented athlete, as much as I love mma, it'll be the last sport I'd get into professionally. Low pay with high risk is not a good deal. UFC is a massive brand but it'll suffer in the future because the talent pool will be even smaller. Pay the fighters more & let them earn!

I heard they were in talks with China about selling the brand but I have no facts to support it I just read it somewhere

How will Murican's feel about the UFC being run by those darn Commies?

One of the potential buyers spent 8 billion dollars to create a mini-Hollywood in China and fly in Leonardo DiCaprio and other stars for the launch. I wouldn't put it past any of them to spend 4 billion on the UFC.

If whoever comes in starts changing everything, it'll be for the worse I fear
