Would anyone even care? Double standards much

This chicks got a fat ass and her striking game is elite. Nuff said

Everyone who values professionalism would.

Missing weight by a weight class is so fucking unprofessional I can't even begin to describe it.

Unprofessional no matter who does it.

Fighters are using it as a way to cheat now. They’re ok with a purse cut for that extra weight advantage.

I won’t blame any fighter who refuses to fight an opponent who misses weight.

you just compared mens heavyweight to WMMA...

If Roy Nelson missed weight by 7,4 lbs he would miss it with less than 3 %. Dern was over 6%. That’s a big difference. Plus remember DC’s ‘towelgate’? The weightmiss would be the equivalent of DC coming in at 218 for LHW

I get that this is a comparison thing for Dern...

But if Roy Nelson weighed in at 272 to fight Mir, or Werdum, or Hunt... nobody would give a shit at all.

So he's a bad person to use as your comparison.

People definitely would care. He shouldn't even be a HW, him missing weight would be an absurd failure of professionalism.

I don’t know

Because Roy Nelson never missed

but I like the analogy, given that dern was a heavyweight last week before her operation

Ask yourself if people cared about Hendricks missing weight.

Or go look at Dana blow a gasket when someone on tuf missed weight.

Dorito Dern has missed weight 3 out of 7 times. That’s nearly half of her PROFESSIONAL fights.

She deserves every bit of shit she gets.

ok tinkerbell, maybe try saying this on a non ghost account

Probably not, the HW limit is a relic from the old days. Nelson and a few others could be better off by losing weight or getting some lipo though.
LHW and under would get more heat for not making weight. Women fighters will probably get even more heat on top of that just because.

Use an actual example from someone else who missed weight several times...like Johnny Hendricks. Remember how much shit people gave him for missing weight? "Big Pig" Hendricks, all the shoops, etc etc. So yea no double standard here, missing weight multiple times is pure unprofessionalism and laziness.

7 pounds at 265 weight limit equals 2%
7 pounds at 115 weight limit equals 7%

7 pounds in the lightest female division is much different than 7 pounds in the heaviest male division.

7 pounds at 265 weight limit equals 2%
7 pounds at 115 weight limit equals 7%

its actually 6.08% but your point stands true.
