... would this be considered the biggest upset since Buster Douglas vs. Mike Tyson?

By biggest, I mean most prolific, considering the insane amount of hype behind the "biggest fight in boxing history," Pacquiao opening up as a +225 underdog (and was KO'd clean recently), Mayweather being undefeated, and especially if Pacquiao KOs Mayweather given his defensive mastery.

This might be the best thing to happen to boxing since it would most likely set up a rematch, and if Mayweather edges him there, probably a third fight to conclude a trilogy. This might be a billion dollar goldmine if Pacquiao scores a huge upset on May 2nd.

Nah, It'd be a big upset but both guys are elite level fighters.

i don't see it as a upset at all. I think Jones getting KO'd by Tarvar was a bigger upset than if Pac catches Floyd

At the time, absolutely nobody including Tyson and Douglass believed that Douglass could win. That was a total shock. Nobody had really even put up a fight prior to that. Floyd has been rocked before and he can be hit cleanly. He's been getting hit more and more.

I think it would be more of a shock than an upset. If Floyd was cleanly knocked out by Manny Pacquiao, expect a broken internet. And a rematch.

This.

Douglas was a 42-1 underdog against tyson. You'll probably never see something like that again. Floyd is only slightly favored, but favored nonetheless. It wouldn't be an upset to anyone who really follows the sport and knows that, at this level, anything can happen.

If Floyd loses, I'd be more shocked if a rematch were to ever happen. Floyd would end up as the clear B-side and you'd have Bob Arum dictating terms to Floyd. It would literally be Floyd's worst nightmare.

He's not. Mayweather is going to destroy Pacman very easily. Probably in the early rounds also.

It would be an upset. It's just that the waves it would make would be much greater than the actual upset.

Very easy ??

Like.., a picnic ?

WTF? A lot of planning and preparation goes into a successful picnic.

Do you actually have any picnic experience at all or are you just talking out your ass?

Enough experience about picnics. Planning and preparation is always part of it but easy thing at the end of the day. Anything else Seano ?

I can tell by this post that you've never been on a picnic in your life. It takes more than eating a sandwich outside to make a picnic.

Pacquiao is nowhere near the 42:1 underdog that Douglas was, but given Mayweather's defense I think it'll be tough for Pacquiao to pull off.

It would be an upset. Not an incredible upset, but an upset. Pacquiao would have the leverage to negotiate a rematch. I don't know if we'd see a rematch. Anyway, it would be interesting.
