Is he in serious trouble of being let go?

or would they only keep him, because he draws money & or his contract wouldn't let them just yet.

Sadly, but it has to be asked.

i dont see him losing devastatingly against mir. Mir is probably gonna have to eat some damage even if he does pull this one out of his ass somehow

I really cannot see Overeem losing this one.

I think they will let him go. That would be 3 embarrassing KO's in a row.

He should have won both of his last two fights. One more like that, he deserves the boot.

He'll take a significant pay cut and fight around the top 15

I think he retires tbh, about 3 years ago, he said that he probably only had 2 years left in the sport anyways...

As a big fan I would hope he retires.

I think Dana said the loser gets cut. Which I think will stand unless they put on a FOTY candidate or some shit.

Mir obliterating Overeem would make me very happy.

I agree completely. That said, I also (at the time) could not see Cro Cop losing to Mir. That fight, like this one, seemed like a terrible style match-up for Frank. I predict an Overeem victory, but would not be speechless if Frank surprised us all again.

i could,he might be a fuckin idiot and take mir down,or mir could even pull guard on him and try to work somethin

but he SHOULD win and not let any of those things happen. Mir cant really sustain a good assault

Then it's time for OneFc, WSOF or (swallow hard) Bellator.

That may be the way it goes, but again if he still displays a lost of heart during the match which causes him to finally succumb to Mir's striking after being grappled for a while and also exchanging quite a few blows.

I don't know how his mental state is after the past couple years, but he probably is pretty bummed out. He has displayed in other fights before the need to want to wrap things up and or a questionable chin and or plain heart.

We'll see if he can rally depending on whether the best Mir shows up for this fight. I wish the best for both, but someone's O uh I mean, latest bad string of bad luck needs to be addressed. I hope they both show up and it is a fight of the year. hahaha Don't laugh, because this is MMA and more so than in Boxing as it is sparingly enough is possible and frequently more exciting to see when it happens. :)

he aint gonna get knocked out by mir, gotta be a submission

I don't think they'll let him go.. Or at least I hope not. I pray not. I beg not.

Please don't let him go.

I know the odds are very slim, but I am hoping Frank some how pulls out a victory. If that would happen I think Overeem will retire.

They may approach him for a contract negotiation but I can't see him getting the ax even with 3 losses.

He's one of those guys you sort of have to watch regardless of record.

I am not quite sure, as the dude who showed up against Nogueira was an Awesome looking striker and let's not forget the other win by snappage. Mir has had his moments and did very well in the chin department with JDS until the end of course, but does Overeem have the stamina to go as hard as JDS for as long. I question that- with good reason and his chin having been checked so frequently in the past two ears can't help him, mentally as well.

It makes for an exciting meeting for sure.
