Would he be more loved on this site? Its obvious the amount of hate for him on this site yet wanderlei silva basically acted the same yet was and is still loved around these parts. Wanderlei mean mugged and talked trash throughout his pride days yet everyone loves him for it. But when nick does it hes called a thug, gangster etc. Unless there is a whole new breed of mma fans I find this so hypocritical and sickening to be honest. Nick is just as exciting a fighter as prime wand and deserves the same amount of respect

Nick Diaz is the most exciting fighter in MMA. The sport needs people like him to succeed.

he's a great heel. i've learned to like him since the scott smith fight. his psychological warefare is unmatched, and his toughness is unquestionable. he's a little insane, which is also fun.

Wandy actually beat top fighters in his weight class Nick has not. Wandy is a all time great! How does Nick deserve the same respect? If Nick was a dominant champ then he would get much more respect

I agree with this. Nick Diaz is always fun to watch and he deserves respect. There are people who hate on him, but he really has some loyal fans too.

Wandy also brought frightening amounts of unchecked violence.

I am the only person I know that will be betting on Diaz. I am not betting on his personality.

He just plods forward and punches? Did you really just say that? And even so, do you realize how difficult that is? For 25 mins...

I used to hate on Nick Diaz, but he really started to grow on me after the Frank Shamrock fight. He's now one of my favorite fighters. Honestly the only fighter since Fedor to give me major goosebumps before he fights.

I'm a bit of a Diaz fan, I like his style and he always comes to fight and fight hard. Plus any guy who could sub Gomi with that much weed in his system gets a thumbs up from me!

The difference with Silva and Diaz is that Silva cares about the fans. Diaz seemingly couldn't care less.

Uhhh he's extremely exciting, you obviously are new to the sport and aren't familiar with any of his fights..he has plenty of respect for his opponents and himself.

    You're complaining he's aggressive? You shouldn't be.

    All hail the stockton slap.

In terms of just their fights, I think that goes to either the Korean Zombie or Leonard Garcia.

Not that Nick isn't exciting at all; he is. But how don't care how much anyone throws out the word "technical"...these 2 are the best.
