If Ngannou was still in the UFC, we would have gotten rid of Jones a long time ago

Francis QUIT the UFC instead of fighting Jones

he literally explains how he turned down 8 million to fight Jones and QUIT,

Fled the UFC

Francis Ngannou Turned Down Around $8 Million To Fight Jon Jones

This fantasy that a guy with a mean right hook, who just went the distance with Gane and was forced to WRESTLE Gane

was a threat to Jones is entertaining

Francis would get choked out and called a white belt, like Gane was as soon as he was choked out.

Francis QUIT instead of fighting Jones

But we got to believe, someone could have stopped Jones

But we got to believe, someone could have stopped Jones

Not to mention that Jones was booked for UFC 285 in Nov 22, MMAJunkie broke the news and this was 2 months prior to Francis exiting the UFC.

Jones wouldn't have stepped foot in the division, I can guarantee you that

Jones was part of the negotiations that led to Frank’s departure. Frank leaves the division and Jones moved up the next day to fill the spot. If you don’t think Jones was giving Dana ways to lowball Francis behind the scenes with these guarantees then you’re a bit naive imo

Dana’s fault?

Are you saying the UFC should have let Ngannou box, on the company dime?

Yes..

“Let’s watch our asset depreciate in front of our eyes”. It’s a brilliant business strategy.

Apparently you have ZERO ability to see what would have happened if the UFC was stupid enough to let him box?

Firstly.. That is NEVER happening again. There is a zero% chance the UFC will ever let an asset to go boxing while under contract.

If you honestly believe that letting Ngannou box, and get KTFO. Would somehow be good for the UFC. You’re beyond hope.

Pretty hard to promote “The Baddest Man On The Planet”. When he just got KTFO.

Use that gray matter, buddeh.
you're making a lot of false statements my friend... I know you dont like francis BUT if the ufc let him fight fury (who lost to francis and won a robbery) francis stock in the UFC would have been at an all time high. It was a gamble, Yes, but it actually would have paid off nicely for everyone. His other ridiculous fairy tale demands are another story. I agree with you fully on those, And how he kept tacking on and adding on more bullshit seemingly by the days. Wont argue there.

But Letting francis fight fury WOULD have been good for the UFC. Pure hindsight though I will admit. I'd have not let him box fury either, but letting him do that would have been fine.

That's not how it happened my friend. You guys gotta get over this idea that Jones jumped at the HW title fight a day after Francis left. That is nonsense. The UFC dictated everything and Jones/Gane was a go once Francis turned down the fight. The UFC were the ones who announced Francis being stripped and being let go and also announced Jon vs Gane same day.

Jones was booked for UFC 285 in Novemeber 22, 2 months prior to Francis leaving the UFC. During that time, the UFC continued to negotiate and offered Francis the fight, he decilned. So they went with plan B.

The UFC acutally did a lot to make the fight happened. They give him the money he wanted, the 3 fight contract he wanted, no extenstion.

Nah brother he is right on this. This was on Francis, he had an opportunity to take the fight and declined. If there is one reason this fight didn't happen, it's Francis.

Personally, I don't blame the man cause he took the better deal to make more money for less risk in boxing and PFL. He made the right call to delcline the UFC offer. But it is on him that the fight didn't happen.

Jon announced his official move up literally about 5 days after Francis left despite people angling for that fight for months before. Jones weakened Francis’ bargaining power behind the scenes 100%

It's amazing how confidently people will lie about something only a few years old.

While on the Internet where the articles have been provided for you.

Ughhh no my friend. Jon was booked for UFC 285 to make his HW debut in November of 2022. They didn't make it official cause he had no opponent. But several media publications had it reported that Jones was booked for UFC 285 months prior. Jon at that point agreed to new terms of his existing contract.

Through the month of December, the UFC met with Francis and tried to get a deal done. The last effort came on Jan 10th when the UFC match makers had a call with Francis and formally offered him a 3 fight deal and the Jones fight for UFC 285. Francis declined the offer and deal and then on Jan 14th the UFC announced they are stripping Francis and he's leaving and they announced Jones vs Gane for UFC 285. Both were announced at the same time on Saturday Jan 14th at the post event press conference. And all the media reported everything the next day.

How did Dana mess up with Ngannou? Franci$ was asking for all kinds of crazy shit that no other fighter got.

The only "crazy" part was health insurance for ALL fighters, which included a union style rep.

(Francisly, not all that crazy)

He asked for the ability to be have outside sponsors, as many fighters had in the past.
This change was met with heavily criticism from fans, fighters and sponsors.
The ufc partners/sponsorships have been shit.

Thus ... Not crazy at all.

He asked for a three fight contract and no extension clause.
Very logical, and many fighters have requested this in the past.

Thus ... Not crazy at all.

Francis went on the get more money and the freedom, so his requests in negotiations were not all kinds of crazy.
They were representing past and future fighter history.
We all know the ufc can afford health care for all fighters and outside sponsorships are simply more money toward the fighter.

Conor got to do all the sponsorships, got to box, he is still milking outside sponsorships while owning businesses in the combat sports realm.
(A direct competitor of the UFC business).
Conor got proper12 into the UFC at one point.

Francis wasn't THAT crazy.

The only knock on Francis...
was up-selling sanitizer during a pandemic.
That was weird.

Health insurance, well ... He is certainly not the first champion to leave the UFC on that reason.

Idk, I'm high and confused atm. 😂, what I said could infact not be entirely correct. I'm getting into my own head atm like a fucking female.
Nah you said something correct but the point he made was whom takes the blame.

Dana, Jones, or Francis.

Jon asked for money, and took 3 fucking years to move up... Then magically reappears when Francis contract is up. It's just as likely Jon supported Francis (privately) to make demands that Jon knew neither man could achieve.

Now, he is being textbook Jon again with Tom.

Jon might be a great fighter but this style of negotiation is all he has left (after arrests, drug issues, lost sponsorships)

Booked for ufc 285 doesnt mean he signed to fight Francis.

If Ngannou took the bait and signed, Jones could just pull out saying he needed more time or whatever. He did the right move because Jon was never going to fight him, just like he isnt fighting Tom. He only likes easy fights

The thing is, you'd be hard pressed to find many people who saw the Fury fight going the way it did. You are right in your assertion but on paper it looked like a pretty bad idea on Francis part.

This is just pure delusion and fairy tales. You guys are just going to the lowest level with this stuff.

Jon was booked for 285, the fight was offered to Francis for that event with Jon already in place and agreed to the fight. Francis declined and that was it. Jon would have fought Francis if he signed, but Francis said no. Jon ended up fighting on the event.

Is that you Jon?

Seriously, Francis made the right decision to leave UFC. Your rhetoric doesn't work.

Yeah because when a fighter is booked for an event, there is no way he can avoid fighting there. It has never happened before in the history of the ufc.
