Is it safe to say he will never be a champ ?

I expect nothing else than a easy dismantle of Munoz.

As a moose fan if he loses to Munoz i will be truly dissapointed

Still belive in Mousasi as a MW champ

Yes, I'd say that would be safe to say. If you can't beat a fairly one dimensional borderline top 10 opponent, you're probably not gonna be champ, especially when you're already as seasoned as Mousasi. It'd be a different story if he was early in his career.

Munoz is essentially an old school GnP fighter. He has dangerous power on his feet, but his striking technique shouldn't cause a guy like Mousasi any issues. The fight essentially comes down to whether or not Mousasi can defend the takedowns. If he can, he wins. I think he'll take it. I see him finishing Munoz. Munoz is a good fighter and seems like a great guy, but I think Mousasi will keep it standing long enough to TKO him. Munoz doesn't have the best chin.

Unfortunately yes. I look at this as a easy fight for Mousasi.

If he gets beaten by Munoz, he'd likely struggle with Schlemenko as well. I don't think he'll have much of an issue dealing with Munoz and I think he'd handle Schlemenko fairly handily as well.

Munoz is a great pure wrestler, but he's only a decent wrestler in terms of MMA wrestling. His wrestling in MMA isn't what you'd expect from a guy with his credentials, but pure wrestling is quite a bit different than wrestling in MMA.

Moose has fucked up most of the fighters that took him down from bottom. its just the crazy judges that reward one takedown more than 20+ elbows fucking up his opponents face from bottom.

wow. calm down there bud. it was a little hyperbolic but not worthy of that extreme jimmie russle.

Moose on his worst day shouldnt lose to Munoz on his best day.

OSP didn't have shit for mousasi in the wrestling department at LHW, you think Munoz is going to hold him down for 25 minutes?

Gegard is 20x the cagefighter/ mmartist that Munoz is so I'd be thoroughly disappointed if Mark pulled the upset by trying to hump saucy for 25..

That said , Anthony Pettis lost to Clay Guida and almost lost to Jeremy Stephens in a S/D...so there have been examples of great fighters getting off to slow starts in the octagon.

Gegard is 28, and honestly if he practices his TDD, he could probably be the one to take over the MW division. It almost pisses me of, how hesitant he can look, we know he can KO people, and we know he has a chin from hell, thanks to machida, and in my opinion, i think Chris, Lyoto, and gegard will battle for the top, until lyoto goes miyagi/old.

Mousasi should beat Munoz easily. Munoz doesn't do well vs guys who have serious artillery.

That said, he still probably won't ever be champ. He's almost 29, and has had a ton of injury issues. It's hard to imagine him staying healthy, motivated, and putting it all together on a consistent basis at this point.
