If Max beats Ortega, who would he fight next?

stephens if he wins for sure.

but i dont see max beating ortega.
 
He'll move up and challenge Conor at Lightweight after Conor defeats the winner of Tony/Khabib. That's my prediction.

But in the rare event that I'm wrong and he stays at FW, he'll either rematch Ortega if the first fight is a close one, or fight Jeremy Stephens if Stephens doesn't lose before then.
 
There are a shit load of upcoming FW contenders. Max has his work cut out for him at 145.

If Ortega loses, and Frankie has beaten all the other contenders, and Max has foughht Aldo twice, I see a strong case for Frankie getting the title shot. Max wants it. The UFC brass loves the guy. And there isnt another contender.

A win should be enough, less deserving people have got title shots.
 
Stephens or Swanson if he beats Edgar. Can't believe people are saying Edgar when he just got KTFO. Sherdoggers would give Edgar a title without having to fight for it if they could.
 
Well if Max beats Ortega (I think he will) and Aldo beats Stephens, we are going to see a guy with an awful chest tattoo fight for the title soon.

You know, the type of guy whom we never thought could make it close to a title shot like 2 years ago.

Swanson just got choked out twice bro. Neither Edgar or Swanson are in the title picture. Stephens, Elkins, then KZ as far as I'm concerned. Most of these guys will probably have another win by then, too.

Stephens has been with the ufc for over ten years, ko otn x3, fotn x5, potn x1; currently on 3 fight win streak with latest loss being a split decision

give the man a shot
 
Max will piece Ortega up, next is Stephens i suppose, but i'd like to see Stephens vs Ortega to be honest..
 
It doesn't matter theyre all good fights for max unless it's Aldo 3 (thatd be depressing af).
